Services under the 2 + 1 + 1 year contract encompass a range of services focusing on railway terminology. The contract will be transferred to the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, once this new agency starts its operations on April 1, 2010.
Banverket, Swedish Rail Administration, has overall responsibility for the rail transport system in Sweden.
Trafikverket, Swedish Transport Administration, is charged with the task of developing an effective and sustainable transport system including all modes of transport. The Transport Administration will include activities and operation that are currently undertaken by the Swedish Road Administration and the Swedish Rail Administration as well as certain activities of the Maritime Administration, the Transport Agency, and the Swedish Institute for Transport and Communications Analysis.
